Colloquium Accommodation Information

The deadline for hotel reservations has passed.  Disney hotels listed below are no longer required to honor the negotiated ASTIN rate.

A limited number of sleeping rooms have been reserved for the evenings of 15 – 23 June 2007, at three different Walt Disney World® Resort properties.  Complimentary daily transportation is provided between the Colloquium location: Disney’s Contemporary® Resort and the two other properties: Disney’s Port Orleans® Resort - Riverside and Disney’s Pop Century® Resort.  Hotel descriptions and rates are as follows:

Disney’s Contemporary® Resort (Deluxe Resort) *** SOLD OUT! ***
Site of the Colloquium

$189 per night, for single or double occupancy, plus taxes

Step off the Monorail into this dazzling lakeside resort, complete with sweeping views, white sand beaches, wide-open spaces, and sensational style. This stunning venue offers contemporary convenience and easy access to the Magic Kingdom® Park and Epcot®. Scientific sessions will take place at the Disney’s Contemporary® Resort.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort (Deluxe Resort) *** SOLD OUT! ***

$189 per night, for single or double occupancy, plus taxes

Soak up the sun at this Resort paradise that celebrates the tranquil spirit and picturesque splendor of the South Seas islands.  This resort is connected to The Contemporary, site of the Colloquium, via Monorail.

Disney’s Port Orleans® Resort - Riverside (Moderate Resort)

$139 per night, for single or double occupancy, plus taxes

Enjoy the tranquility of the Louisiana Bayou and the hospitality of a picturesque waterfront resort that embodies the traditions borne of life along the mighty Sassagoula River—steamboat travel, garden parties, and mint juleps.

Disney’s Pop Century® Resort (Value Resort)

$99 per night, for single or double occupancy, plus taxes

Travel back in time to enjoy bright, bold, larger-than-life icons from the 1950s to the 1990s. From yo-yos to the Sony Walkman®, from Play-Doh® to the Rubik’s Cube®, experience a resort that celebrates the fashions, catch phrases, toys, and dances of American pop culture that have captivated the world through the decades.

Additional Accommodation Information

  • An additional person in a room (18 years and older) is $25 per person, per night, plus taxes.

  • Please call Walt Disney World® Resort at (407) 824-3869 to make your reservations, or you may fax your reservations to (407) 824-3738.  Reservations must be made by Friday, 18 May 2007.  Mention that you are attending the 2007 ASTIN Colloquium to receive the negotiated group rate.

  • Individual room reservations must be confirmed and guaranteed by the attendee with a deposit of one night’s room revenue (plus applicable taxes) via credit card, check, or money order.  Should you cancel your reservation at least five days prior to arrival, your guarantee will be refunded.  Should you cancel your reservation within five days prior to arrival, you will lose your one-night guarantee. 

  • For all three Walt Disney World® Resort properties, check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 11:00.

  • A benefit to staying at one of the three Walt Disney World® Resort hotels listed is Disney’s Magical Express Service.  This exclusive complimentary shuttle and luggage delivery service conveniently takes you from the Orlando International Airport directly to your Walt Disney World® Resort hotel. It’s the hassle-free benefit that allows you to arrive at these meetings relaxed and stress-free.

  • Walt Disney World® Resort Childcare Program: Kid’s Nite Out — Treat yourself to a night out while your children enjoy one-on-one childcare in the comfort of your hotel or resort room. Relax knowing professional staff gives individual attention and encourages the playing of fun-filled activities. Kid’s Nite Out is not just a baby-sitting service. Sitters and nannies can accompany your child to area attractions or arrange to go along with your family if you need some extra help.   • Walt Disney World is full of entertainment opportunities, including dining and recreation. 

    Restaurants on Disney property tend to fill with reservations long before the date arrives on the calendar.     Additionally, there will be no CAS Golf Tournament held in conjunction with this year’s Spring Meeting.  However, if you are interested in golfing and making your tee time online, below is a link that will provide options.
