Nestled in a bed of pastures and vineyards on the Anse and Pommiers territory, Chateau de Saint Trys overlooks the Saône River and the Dombes plains.

It was built at the end of the 17 century and has since then remained in the same family.

The domain is composed of numerous "dependences" a chapel, and cloister, built by Italians who stayed at Saint Trys at the end of the 19th century. Theses Italians artists were wonderful painters as it can be seen in the reception rooms by the marvellous frescoes and trompe l'oeil. The Chateau is registered as a French historical monument.

In the 19th century Saint Trys existed in complete autarchy and 80 people were working on the property.  The vineyards were the main suppliers of revenues. It is in this large cellar that the fine wines were produced. The old presses that you can see are proof of this rich history.

Nowadays Saint Trys is the property of the Comte and Comtesse Dorick de Brosses who are dedicated to save the family heritage through new means of income. They are honoured to welcome you here tonight in this historical place imbued by their ancestors.

They wish you a pleasant and excellent evening.

From the age of 7 years, Christian Têtedoie already liked practicing in the kitchens of his parents. When at 11 years old, his uncle offered to him " The cooking of the Market " by Paul Bocuse, Christian understands that a vocation was born: he will be a cook.

At 16 he obtains his CAP and becomes Better Apprentice of France at 17. From star restaurants to houses of big cooks (among others Paul Bocuse, Georges Blanc and even the kitchens of the Elysee!), he forged his experience and his sensibility. In 1986 Christian decided to open his own establishment, at first on the Quai Jean Moulin in Lyon, then on the Quai Pierre Scize. The address becomes inescapable and the efforts of the Chef are rewarded by the obtaining of the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1996, then by 1 Macaroon by the Guide Michelin in 2000. In March, 2010 and after 7 years of work on the project, it is the new adventure that begins in his new site : the Antiquaille.

Far from being selfish, Christian Têtedoie makes a commitment ardently in the promotionand the valuation of the French gastronomy worldwide. He is so appointed at the beginning of 2011 to the presidency of the most important of Chefs associations, that of Maîtres Cuisiniers de France.

A desire to open his cooking to all and to share his love of the gastronomy make of Christian Têtedoie a dynamic and particularly human Chef. It is indeed this last quality which is kept in mind by those who had the opportunity to work on his sides.

Coach trip around Lyon and vineyards of Le Beaujolais

Sunday – June, 25th (Evening)

- 14h00-19h00
- Departure from the congress center Espace Tête d'or.

This afternoon coach trip will be devoted to the discovery of the vineyards of the beaujolais.

In the North of Lyon, the Beaujolais vineyards cover the rolling hills on the west of the Saône and draw a picturesque patchwork of farms and small villages. From North to South, you'll discover the 10 vintages (« grands crus »), the « Beaujolais-villages » appellation terroirs, and the most widely known vintage appellation « Beaujolais ». The hilly landscape of the southern Beaujolais is named land of the Pierres Dorées (Golden Stones), known for its honey-colored stone buildings. The shades vary from one village to the next - one more red-tinted like Apple trees; a deep gold in Bagnols and Oingt; one of the most beautiful Villages of France... You'll also visit two wineries: an occasion to try degustation and to taste the treasures of Beaujolais...
