 Jim Toole 

Curriculum

He is an Actuary with the Latin American practice of Milliman & Robertson in the Denver office. Mr. Toole is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA). 

Mr. Toole has more than 10 years of technical and management experience in the life insurance industry in the U.S. and Latin America, including Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile. His work experience includes appraisal and due diligence of insurance companies related to merger and acquisition activity, bancassurance financial and strategic analysis, cash flow testing, product development, demutualization of life insurance companies, U.S. GAAP conversions and loss reserving.

Prior to joining M & R, Mr. Toole worked two years in Mexico, where he consulted on mergers and acquisitions and bancassurance projects in the life and pension industries in Latin America.

A graduate of Wake Forest University, Mr. Toole is Chairman of the International Section of the SOA and Chairman of the Latin American Committee of the SOA. Mr. Toole is fluent in Spanish and is a regular speaker at industry meetings in the United States and Mexico. Mr. Toole has written for and/or edited various publications in the industry, with a focus on international and technology issues.
