Council and Committee Meetings

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Please indicate whether your attendance will be in person or virtual. Virtual participants will provided with Zoom links closer to the meeting dates. If you are unable to participate in person or virtually, meeting recordings will be available later. 
  • Coffee breaks and lunches are open to meeting attendees only. For logistical and financial reasons, attendance is not permitted to accompanying persons.
  • Cancellations: In order to receive a refund (Official Dinner), cancellations must be sent to no later than September 30, 2022. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received thereafter. No further dinner registrations will be accepted after October 1st. 
  • Dress code:
    Meetings: business casual
    Official Dinner: cocktail business
  • Photographs will be taken of attending delegates during various sessions, events, breaks and lunches. All photographs remain the sole propriety of the IAA and may be used for Newsletters, Annual Reports and Social Media feeds (Example: Twitter, Facebook etc.), at the IAA's sole discretion. By registering for the Council and Committee meetings, registrants hereby give permission to the IAA for use of any photograph taken during this event. 
  • Chairpersons of Committees may permit other individuals to attend and participate as observers at committee meetings, including staff members of Full Members and other non-actuaries. The Secretariat will communicate with non-delegates only if their attendance has been disallowed. In the absence of any notification to the contrary, please assume that your attendance is permitted. 

MEETING ROOMS & HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:

  • All meetings will take place at the Humaniti Hotel Montreal. The draft schedule can be accessed here. (Note: meeting room names will be communicated with the agendas at a later date). 
  • UPDATE: The IAA room block at Humaniti Hotel Montreal is now full.  Please make your hotel reservation at any nearby hotel such as: Courtyard by Marriott; W Montreal; West Montreal; L'Hotel Montreal; InterContinental Montreal; Embassy Suites; Hotel Bonaventure; Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, Renaissance Montreal, etc. All these hotels are located less than 10 mins walking distance from the Humaniti. 

TRAVEL INFORMATION:

  • NOTE: Starting October 1, 2022, all COVID-19 border requirements, including vaccination, mandatory use of ArriveCAN, and any testing and quarantine/isolation requirements will end for all travellers entering Canada whether by land, air or sea.
