Task Forces

Time-Limited Task Forces

  • Climate Risk – The role of this CRTF is to deliver on the Statement of Intent for IAA Activities on Climate-related Risks (SOI).
  • Diversity & Inclusion – The IAA initiative on Diversity and Inclusion is predicated on a very simple, yet profound principle: “Every actuary has the potential to significantly contribute to our profession”. The IAA is committed to deliver on our mission, and live our values, by actively encouraging more meaningful participation by women, racial minorities, geographically diverse and younger actuaries. Broadening participation in our process by including all who offer a wide range of lived experiences will meaningfully improve our ability to enhance the actuarial profession globally.
  • Future Actuary – Proactively prepare the profession to face the challenges in the future and advance the competency of the profession by facilitating knowledge sharing, educating actuaries, and creating awareness about the profession. Promote the role of the actuary in traditional as well as emerging wider fields, and raise the image and profile of the actuary through an appropriate communication strategy. Inspire younger, new generation of actuaries and support them to keep the profession relevant.
  • Pandemics – IAA activities aim to promote collaboration with key stakeholders globally to identify, develop and support sound approaches to financial protection (e.g., insurance, private pensions, social security, health care insurance etc.) against the broad implications of pandemic-related risks.
  • Sustainable Development Goals – Proactively engage with Supranational stakeholders on topics relating to selected SDGs, and provide actuarial perspectives and advice on topics of global relevance.
  • Water Risks – Prepare the IAA, as the voice of the actuarial profession, to proactively engage with Supranational organizations on water-related risks, and provide actuarial perspectives on their own related initiatives.
