The 2021 Joint SAS-IAAHS Health Conference is jointly organised by the Singapore Actuarial Society (SAS) and International Actuarial Association Health Section (IAAHS) on 20th – 21st September 2021 in Singapore.

The theme of the 2021 Joint SAS-IAAHS Health Conference is Augmented Actuary: Think Global, Act Local. The Conference, jointly organised by the two actuarial bodies, will address topics such as managing healthcare cost, making healthcare affordable and preparing healthcare for the future in light of the pandemic.

Ideas for enhancing healthcare and healthcare financing for the person-in-the-street can arise anywhere in the world, but it will be up to the actuary and other health practitioners to translate these ideas to practical solutions to problems where they practice. We hope that this Conference can be a conduit for connecting these ideas to the solutions needed – both locally and globally. This Conference intends to provide participants with ideas and solutions from subject matter experts in both the public and private health sectors.

The Conference programme includes one or more keynote speeches, presentations and panel discussions, designed to stimulate thinking and discussion on the current trends and topics within the healthcare and healthcare financing professions and industries.

In view of the current unprecedented times, the conference will be held in a hybrid format at Singapore time. Physical attendance will be limited by the prevailing guidelines in Singapore. An online option will also be available for our presenters and conference delegates from outside Singapore.
