The 2017 edition of the ASTIN-AFIR/ERM Colloquia will feature a new format for sharing in the latest actuarial knowledge and techniques, in the form of educational workshops. The workshops will be guided by subject matter experts from around the world, and will expand on actuarial technique in areas including reserving, pricing, reinsurance, solvency, and enterprise risk management.

The 2017 edition of the colloquia will feature new research from top researchers and practitioners in the field. The Call for Papers has focused on academic and practical explorations of the applications of actuarial and risk management theory, giving rise to the idea of “actuarial engineering,” which is the over-arching theme of the meetings.
