Call for Papers (Closed)

Invitation to Submit Abstracts of Proposed Papers and Presentations

Abstracts of proposed papers and presentations are invited on any topic in the areas of pensions and social security, healthcare, insurance or consulting practice. Wider or cross-disciplinary topics, such as social and economic development issues, enterprise risk management, professionalism, and the public interest, are also welcome. The list below offers some suggestions, but this is not an exhaustive list, and abstracts on other actuarial topics are also welcome. Abstracts should specify the name, country of residence and professional association of each author, state the title of the suggested topic, and provide a brief description of the content of the proposed paper or presentation. Papers should be about 10-15 pages and should be submitted electronically in standard word-processing format or in PDF form for approval by the Professional Program Committee.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 October 2011 and should be sent to: HongKong2012@actuaries.org

Prospective authors and presenters will be informed by 30 November 2011 whether their paper or presentation has been accepted for the Colloquium. A draft paper should be submitted no later than 31 December 2011. Final submissions may be presented either as formal papers or as PowerPoint presentations but must be received no later than 29 February 2012.
